Yagoto-san Kousho-ji Temple offers monthly regular tours with English speaking guides, “Feel the blessings of Japanese culture & Buddhist temple”.
Each tour includes a walking tour of the temple ground and sitting meditation experience by a Buddhist monk, as well as Japanese tea ceremony presentation in an authentic Japanese tea ceremony room. We look forward to seeing you on this 2-hour tour that will immerse you in Japanese culture and tune your mind and body.

Tour information

• Date & Time：the 24th of every month, 10:00-12:00 (except May, June, and September)
• Reservation：Required (up to 2 weeks before the tour date)
• Maximum number：15 people
• Language：English
• Participation fee :3,000 Japanese yen (cash only, payable on the day)
• Meeting : at 10:00, at Main Gate of the temple
• Notes：
  ※Participants must be 10 years or older.
  ※You’ll be going up and down stairs and slopes, so please wear clothes and footwear suitable for walking
  ※In the tea and meditation experiences, you will sit on the floor of a Japanese-style room.
  If you have concerns about your legs, please feel free to consult our staff on-site.

Other dates can be arranged upon request.
In that case, the tea ceremony in the traditional tea room will not be held, so the participation fee will be 1000 yen.
